Research Abstract

脳への血液が不足する"虚血"と呼ばれる状態によって、脳の活動がどのように影響されるかについて研究した。脳磁図を用いて、虚血性脳血管障害患者の手の運動時の脳の活動を解析した結果、動脈硬化による閉塞性血管病変の患者では運動麻痺や脳梗塞の病変がないにも関わらず、運動時の脳の活動パターンに異常が生じていることが発見された。また、脳梗塞後で運動麻痺がある場合やその回復過程でみられる脳の活動の変化についても解析することができた。
