Research Abstract

動物種間での骨形成能の差を解明すべく、ラット及びイヌの大腿骨より骨髄間葉系細胞を採取しBMPを添加してALP活性を測定した。BMPを添加しない状態でもラットにおけるALP活性はイヌの約10倍高く、BMPを添加して培養した場合、ラットではイヌの約2倍反応が強く、生体における種の差をin vitroで再現し得た。遺伝子発現をPCRにて検討したところ、ラットでのみBMP4の発現が見られ、この発現の差がベースラインでのALP活性の差に寄与している可能性が考えられた。
