Research Abstract

肥満患者の上気道閉塞部位を検討するために、睡眠時呼吸障害のある小児肥満患者で検討を行ったところ、アデノイド・口蓋扁桃部だけでなく、特に軟口蓋でも閉塞することが示された。
また、全身麻酔無呼吸下で閉塞を認めた患者では、肥満患者の睡眠時呼吸障害の治療として用いられているNIPPV管理下では軟口蓋が弁様の動きを示した。この弁様の動きが更に閉塞性が高めている可能性があると考えた。
