Research Abstract |
We investigated the correlation between DNA polymorphism of Cathecol-O-methyl transferase gene (val 158 met) and postoperative pain. Our study of 1015 Japanese individuals reports that met/met type was 8.9%, met/val type 40.5 % and val/val type 50.6%. We couldn't find the correlation between DNA polymorphism and postoperative pain.
