Research Abstract	pro PSAの前立腺癌診断および癌罹患予測における有用性を検討するために、前立腺針生検前の保存血清を用いて血清中のpro PSAを測定した。また、PSA値が基準値以下の癌を疑わない時期に、pro PSAが将来の癌罹患を予見できるかを検討するため、PSA基礎値が4.0 ng/ml以下で、その後の検診にてPSAの上昇を契機に癌が診断された症例群と、非癌群のPSA基礎値測定時の保存血清を用いpro PSAを測定した。その結果、pro PSAの測定は前立腺癌診断および癌罹患予測に有用であることが示唆された。
