Research Abstract

MDM2は癌抑制遺伝子p53分解を促進し、この過剰発現は各種の悪性腫瘍において認められる。MDM2プロモーターに存在する一塩基多型(SNP)が、p53遺伝子異常を伴うLi-Fraumeni症候群患者における悪性腫瘍の発生年齢に有意に影響を与えることが近年報告された。本研究では上咽頭癌で先述のSNPは上咽頭がん発症リスクに関与しないか検証し、また上咽頭がんの発症、病態、予後に影響を与えるかについて検証した。更に横断的に他の頭頸部癌患者でも解析を行った。
