Research Abstract |
眼内血管新生は、失明に直結する網膜疾患である糖尿病網膜症・加齢黄班変性における共通の進行期病態である。これらの疾患では炎症に続発して病理的な血管新生が発症するため、これらの網膜疾患を治療するには炎症性血管新生を制御することが鍵となると考えられる。我々は糖尿病網膜症(PDR)においてADAM28が線維血管組織に局在し、また非血管性増殖組織である網膜上膜と比し線維血管組織において有意な発現増加を来していることを明らかにした。PDRの病態促進にADAM28が関与している可能性が示唆された。
