Research Abstract

歯の発生は上皮間葉相互作用により進行するため、由来の異なる2つの細胞をin vitroで長期的に同時に観察できる系が望まれる。本研究はこれを実現するための基礎研究として、歯胚より分離した細胞の未分化性を維持する分子の検索と培養条件の検索を行った。その結果、上皮細胞が発現するFgf9が歯の間葉細胞の増殖に働くと共に間葉側での持続的なFgf10の発現に働くことで細胞の未分化性を維持することが明らかになった。
