Research Abstract

歯周病細菌Porphyromonas gingivalisが産生するシステインプロテアーゼであるジンジパインは本菌の主要病原因子である。ジンジパインが菌体内で翻訳され、菌体表層でプロテアーゼ活性獲得に至るまで、いくつかの段階があると予想される。本研究ではジンジパインの新たな菌体内輸送因子を見つけるとともに、ジンジパイン活性化獲得、菌体表層への局在化には菌体表面多糖が関わることを示した。
