Research Abstract

近年、歯科治療用ユニットの給水チューブ内面に細菌バイオフィルムが形成され、治療に使用される水が細菌の汚染を受けていることが問題視されている。そこで本研究では、細菌バイオフィルムについて詳細に解析するため、給水チューブ内のバイオフィルムをシミュレートした実験モデルの確立を試みた。その結果、三種の従属栄養菌がバイオフィルム形成に関与する主要細菌であることが分かり、これら三菌を一定条件のもとで混合培養することにより、臨床で観察されるものに酷似したバイオフィルムを作製することに成功した。
