Research Abstract	口腔扁平苔癬(OLP)では、病変部の上皮細胞ならびに患者末梢血単球におけるToll-like receptor2(TLR2)発現が増強していた。さらに、OLP患者の末梢血単球をTLR2のリガンドであるPeptideglycanで刺激することによりTh1サイトカイン(IL-12)産生の元進ならびにTh2サイトカイン(TL-10)産生の低下が生じ、サイトカインバランスがTh1優位にシフトすることが明らかとなった。これらのことより、OLPの発症および病態形成にはTLR2を介するシグナルが何らかの関与をしている可能性が示唆された。しかしながら、OLPの癌化と関連する遺伝子発現を明らかにすることはできなかった。
