Research Abstract

本研究では、side population(SP)法を用いてヒト歯根膜幹細胞に特異的な表面抗原マーカーの探索を行った。その結果、stage-specific embryonic antigen(SSEA)-4陽性歯根膜細胞が、脂肪細胞・骨芽細胞・軟骨細胞・神経細胞・肝細胞への分化能を有することが示された。このことから、SSEA-4が多分化能を有する歯根膜幹細胞のマーカーとして有用であることが示唆された。
