Research Abstract

rhVEGF-Eの投与により、op/opマウスの大腿骨に多数の破骨細胞の出現が観察された。VEGF165投与により正常マウスの上顎切歯骨歯根膜内に出現する破骨細胞数は、Flt-1、およびFlk-1中和抗体の投与によって有意に抑制された。また、Flt-1とFlk-1中和抗体の同時投与により抑制が前進し、単独投与群との間に有意差を認めた。以上の結果から、歯の移動時の歯周組織内においてVEGFとM-CSFの発現が亢進し、破骨細胞の分化誘導を主体とした骨改造に大きな影響を及ぼすことが示唆された。また、VEGFはFlt-1、およびFlk-1両受容体を介して破骨細胞の分化誘導を行うことが明らかとなった。
