Research Abstract

大地震の際にしばしば観測される極大地震動(極めて大きな地震動)の成因を震源の破壊過程との関係から解明するため、強震波形記録等を用いたインバージョン解析により、時空間的な震源破壊過程を詳細に調べた。近年発生し、極大地震動をもたらした被害地震の震源断層面のすべり分布が精度よく推定されたとともに、内陸地殻内地震の広帯域強震動生成を支配するアスペリティの応力降下量の深さ依存性を見出し、強震動予測に活かすための経験式を提案した。
