Research Abstract

本研究では大規模量子化学計算を用いて, カーボンナノチューブと外部もしくは内部化学修飾基との相互作用に関する知見を得た. その結果, 内部修飾基とナノチューブとの共有結合生成により、結合部位近傍の特定の炭素炭素結合の二重結合性が顕著になることが分かった. 一方, 外部修飾基との相互作用の場合, 結合部位の炭素炭素結合のみが切断されることが分かった. これら化学修飾によるナノチューブの局所変形は, チューブ内部の金属原子の選択的配位およびナノチューブ内部表面での金属原子移動度に影響を与えるものと期待される.
