Research Abstract

本研究「南インド・アーンドラ地方における宗教美術の様相に関する研究」において、アーンドラ地方における宗教美術の様相は、アマラーヴァティー大塔やナーガールジュナコンダの仏教遺跡を核に、仏教美術、ヒンドゥー教、その他古来より信仰されていた土着のヤクシャや英雄神への信仰といったものが相互に交流し展開しており、すなわち、インドの宗教美術が民間信仰等の基層の文化を軸として、その融合により仏教、ヒンドゥー教の両美術が大きく発展していくという発展過程が本研究の実地調査および研究によって明らかとなった。
