Research Abstract

本研究の目的は、19世紀後半にイギリスで活躍した哲学者で、古典的功利主義者として知られるヘンリー・シジウイックの哲学体系を再構成すること、ならびにその現代的意義を明らかにすることである。そこで報告者は、倫理学・経済学・政治学を三本柱として構成される、シジウイックの哲学体系を再構成する研究書として、単行本『功利主義と経済学 : シジウイックの実践哲学の射程』 (2009年3月晃洋書房)を公刊するなどした。
