Research Abstract

ハードディスクなどの磁気記録媒体の記録密度を飛躍的に向上させる技術として垂直磁気記録が提案されており、これを実現する材料としてFePt合金薄膜が注目されている。本研究では独自に考案した超音波計測法を用いてFePt合金薄膜の弾性定数を測定し、磁気特性との相関を見出すことでFePt合金薄膜の特異な磁気特性の起源を探究する
