Research Abstract

粉砕したアナターゼ相チタニアアエロゲル(平均粒径14nm)を強アルカリNaOH中に分散させた溶液から、水熱合成法において、その中和洗浄過程で、HNO_3とAgNO_3、あるいはHClとAgNO_3溶液を用いてPH値を8程度に調整することによって、従来にない数ミクロンの長尺の、AgClあるいはAg^+担持したチタニア(あるいはチタネート(Na_xH_<2_x>Ti_3O_7))多層ナノチューブ(以後TMWNTと略する)を作製した。次に、TMWNTのTiO_6八面体の層構造・形態、電気電導度、熱伝導率などを極低温電子顕微鏡観察(TEM,EDS,EELS等)によって調べた。特に層構造・形態の観察には、本研究で開発できた「360°傾斜像試料支持台」による連続傾斜像の利用が有効であった。また、多色のphotochromismの出現も確認した。
