Research Abstract

植物細胞に特異的な器官である細胞板(細胞壁)形成の分子機構を明らかにするために、細胞板形成に関与する新規分子の同定、機能解析を行った。植物の細胞板形成には、細胞質分裂時に特異的に活性化されるMAP キナーゼカスケードが必要である。本研究により、このカスケードの活性化が上流でサイクリン依存性キナーゼ(CDK)により負に制御されている可能性が示された。また、いくつかの新奇な下流因子の候補を見いだした。
