Research Abstract

植物において、casiRNAはゲノムDNAのメチル化を誘導し、遺伝子の発現を抑制する。この機構をRdDM と呼ぶ。未処理および乾燥ストレス下においてRdDMによる制御を受ける遺伝子を同定するために、野生型植物、casiRNA生合成の必須因子の変異体およびDNAメチル化酵素の変異体において、タイリングアレイ解析を行った。その結果、いくつかの遺伝子がRdDMによって直接制御されている候補として同定できた。
