Research Abstract

本研究では、近年開発された動物の行動を三次元で再現できる地磁気・加速度データロガーを用いて、アオウミガメをモデルとし、海洋生物の回帰行動メカニズムの解明に資することを目的とした。
本研究は、沖縄県石垣島にて産卵上陸をするアオウミガメを対象とした。産卵上陸したアオウミガメに地磁気・加速度ロガーを装着し、約12日後の次回産卵上陸時に回収を行った。この結果、3個体のアオウミガメからデータを得ることができた。データは現在解析中である。再現したアオウミガメの三次元回帰経路は、GISをベースに、その行動特徴量(回帰の直線度、遊泳速度、遊泳深度、潜水時間、海面表出時間)と環境データ(磁場マップ、天候、風向風速、潮汐、水温)を統合的に解析する。この解析によって、アオウミガメがどの環境を手がかりに移動しているのか推定できると考えている。
