Research Abstract

樹皮タンニンの構成単位であるカテキン類を炭素源として資化できる微生物を酸性土壌より単離し、Burkholderia sp. OX-01と命名した。代謝機能解析の結果、OX-01はカテキンの4位を水酸化してロイコシアニジンに変換した後、さらに同部位を酸化してタキシフォリンに変換した後、完全代謝する新規代謝機能により分解することが明らかとなった。また、OX-01株の詳細同定を行った結果、新種であることが明らかとなりBurkholderia oxyphila OX-01を提唱した。
