Research Abstract

本研究は地球最大の微生物圏である海底下微生物圏において生息する微生物のエネルギー代謝機構の解明を安定同位体を用いた取り込み実験によって行うものである。
そしてこれとフォスミド作成に適したDNA 抽出系と組み合わせることによって将来のメタゲノム解析に役立てていきたい。
初年度は海底堆積物からフォスミドを作成するのに最適な抽出系を構築した。
次年度は安定同位体を添加して海底堆積物を培養した。現在も培養を続けており、今後はここからDNA を抽出し、海底下微生物はどのようにエネルギー代謝を行っていくのかを明らかにしていきたい。
