Research Abstract

本研究により、健康な歯肉縁下プラークでは、通性嫌気性の歯面初期付着細菌が優勢で、歯周炎患者では、嫌気性菌が優勢であったことから、歯周炎の進行に伴って、嫌気性菌の増殖に適した環境へとシフトすることが示唆された。さらに、歯周ポケットが深くなると、骨吸収に関与しているとされるIL-6の検出量が増加傾向にあることが明らかになった。これらの結果を日常臨床にフィードバックし、歯周病診断に活かすことにより、国民の健康の確立に大きく寄与できるものと期待している。
