| Research Abstract |
Shh(Sonic hedgehog)は、歯の発生過程において、シグナルセンターであるエナメルノットに強く発現しており、エナメル芽細胞分化において重要な働きを担っていると考えられている。また、ShhシグナルとBmp(Bone morphogenetic protein)シグナルは協調して働くことが肢芽発生および歯の発生において報告されているが、その機能の詳細はいまだ不明である。本研究において、申請者は、Shhシグナルが直接的にあるいは間接的にBmpシグナルを誘導および活性化している可能性を示唆した。
