Research Abstract

リウマチには「朝の関節のこわばり」に代表されるように、病態の増悪が日中には認められず早朝によく現れることが昔から経験的に知られている。本研究ではリウマチのモデル動物を用いることで、関節の痛み・破壊を誘起していると考えられる炎症性サイトカイン、血中の炎症性マーカーの1日内での時間ごとの変動を調べてみたところ、共に明期で高値を、暗期で低値を示す結果となった。よって、リウマチの病態の周期性には1日のうちで周期性が存在し、その周期性を規定する因子を特定することにより新たな治療法が確立できるのではないかと考える。
