近年、物理学の様々な分野で、量子系の非線形非平衡応答が大きなテーマとなっている。本研究の目的は、近藤状態および量子ホール端状態に対して、精密な伝導度測定・ゆらぎ測定などを通じて、その非線形非平衡応答を解明することである。これらは平衡状態がよく理解されている普遍性の高い現象であり、その非平衡領域における振る舞いを定量的に解明する本研究は、今後の非平衡量子系の研究の発展に資する価値を持つ。

Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Non-equilibrium is a state where flow or change occurs. Even in modern physics, fully understanding and controlling non-equilibrium remains a challenge. In this study, we aimed to precisely measure and understand non-equilibrium by conducting experiments using nano-sized electronic circuits. In particular, we investigated the non-equilibrium Kondo effect and tunneling effect and successfully understood them. Furthermore, as a new method to explore non-equilibrium, we developed a quantum sensing technique using diamond nitrogen-vacancy centers. We succeeded in quantitative visualization of magnetic field and temperature.

私たちの身の回りは非平衡に満ちあふれています。化学反応、光と物質の反応、そして私たち自身(つまり生命現象)も非平衡です。非平衡を理解し上手に制御することは学術的に大きな意義を持つと同時に、新しいテクノロジーや省エネルギー技術につながる可能性を持ちます。本研究の一部では非平衡を研究するために量子センシングを用いた新しい試みも行いました。得られた成果をさらに大きく発展させ、量子技術の新展開につなげていきます。
