Outline of Research at the Start

ナノメートル　スケール三次元磁気構造のイメージング法を開発して、二次元薄片試料や三次元ロード状試料中に様々なトポロジカル磁気構造およびその周期構造(スキルミオン（Sk）正方格子やSk紐等)を電子顕微鏡中に誘起し、その動的振る舞いを実空間観測し、様々なトポロジカル状態の安定性を明らかにする。特に、枝分かれしたSk紐や、ちぎれたSk紐の内部変形によって生じた磁気単極子・反磁気単極子対の生成・消滅およびその電流下のダイナミクスを三次元イメージング法で実空間観察を行い、様々なトポロジカル構造をもたらす機構を解明する。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

３次元磁気構造を観察するため、ローレンツ電子顕微鏡トモグラフィー技法と３次元ベクトル場再構築アルゴリズムを開発した。これらの手法を用いて、新たな３次元トポロジカル磁化構造、「バイメロン」（文献１）、「ホプフィオン」（文献2）などを実証した。また、トモグラフイック電子線ホログラフィーを用いた反スキルミオンの観察で、磁気モノポール―アンチモノポール対を、スキルミオン―反スキルミオン―スキルミオンのハイブリッド構造中に観察され、その動的振る舞いがシミュレーションで確認できた。よって、理論と実験で観察された2次元トポロジカル構造以外に、安定な3次元スピン構造の構造物性の知見を得った（文献3）。さらに、3次元磁化イメージングの空間・時間分解能を改善するため、新たに3次元電子位相顕微法（3D-DPC）の開発に成功し、従来の3次元イメージングの空間分解と時間分解を大幅に向上させ、空間分解は4 nm以下、時間分解は10 min以下まで達成させた。これにより、スキルミオン紐中に現れた磁気モノポール―アンチモノポールの熱揺らぎによる動的振る舞いを明らかにした（DOI:10.1038/S43246-024-00512-5）。
反スキルミオンがもたらす電子輸送特性を究明するために、熱流駆動アンチスキルミオンのダイナミクスを考察した。その場ローレンツ電子顕微法を用いて、スキルミオンと反スキルミオン生成可能な (Fe0.63Ni0.3Pd0.07)3P 磁性体における、磁気構造の熱流駆動ダイナミクスを直接観察し、スキルミオンと反スキルミオンの相互転換を実現した。この研究成果により、さまざまなプロセスで生成される「熱」を活用してスピンテクスチャーの制御が可能となり、スピントロニクスの応用研究に役立つことが期待される（文献4）
