Outline of Research at the Start

光変調帯域幅を240GHzまで拡大しデータセンタにおいて必要とされる高速データ伝送のための高速光トランシーバモジュールに組み込み可能な300Gbaud超高速ポリマ光変調器を研究開発する。光変調帯域幅拡大のため光導波路の光波周波数に対する実効屈折率とミリ波周波数に対する実効屈折率を整合させるためTiO2等の誘電体スロット層を利用する。スロット層は導波モードが存在し得ない導波路寸法（<波長/2n）に薄膜化することにより光周波数に対する実効屈折率に影響を与えることなくミリ波に対する実効屈折率を制御し位相不整合に起因する帯域幅制限を拡大する。
