2015年末のフランスにおける大統領令によってヴィシー政権やドイツ占領時代の行政文書の閲覧が一般に公開されたことを背景に、本研究計画は当時のフランス南部において発行されていた定期刊行物に掲載されている文学・演劇・映画といった異なるジャンルに関するテクストを研究対象として取り上げ、それらのテクストが検閲制度などの社会的制約を生成、流通、受容のそれぞれの段階でどのように受けていたかを、公立・私立を問わずフランス各地にあるアーカイブで収集する資料との比較作業を通じて明らかにすることを目指すものである。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The current study succeeded in presenting the existence of the “instructional notes” passed on by the Censure Central under the German occupation in France, and also in pointing out the possible lack of coherence of the instructions between the French regions.
These research results are obtained from surveys, which had been enabled by a presidential decree pronounced in objective of opening administrational documentations both in Vichy regime and under German occupation, at the end of 2015. The survey took place in both public and private archives to collect documents of different genres of literature, drama and film, in order to clarify the impact of the Censorship at various process of production, distribution and acceptance of artworks.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
一般的に戦時期に検閲制度が敷かれることは了解されているが、ドイツ占領下のフランスにおける検閲制度がどのように文芸誌などの作品刊行に影響したか、その全体像の把握はなされていない。本研究は第二次世界大戦期の行政文書が公開されたことに着目し、文学・演劇・映画という異なるジャンルの作品に対する検閲制度の影響を明らかにしようとするものであった。学術的には検閲制度の実態を表す「指示書」の存在を確認し、それらが地域間で異なっていた可能性を指摘した点で意義がある。また、表現の自由との関係において、社会的・制度的制約が作品刊行とどのような関係を持つのかについて考察を促す点に、本研究の社会的な意義を認められる。
