| Outline of Research at the Start |
日本語教授法及び語彙学習教材開発を支える基礎研究として、学習者がコロケーション（collocation 連語）の知識をどのように習得していくか解明することを目指す。特に、今まで焦点が当てられなかった「多義語の各語義で形成されるコロケーションをどのように習得していくか」の解明を目的とする。
調査では、概念形成理論における「典型化（プロトタイプ形成）」「一般化（多義性理解）」「差異化（類義性理解）」の観点及び学習者によるコロケーションの使用実態の観点から、学習者が多義動詞で形成されるコロケーションについてどのような知識を形成しているかを明らかにする。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
As basic research to support the development of Japanese language teaching methods and vocabulary learning materials, we investigated and analyzed the acquisition of collocations formed by polysemes, which has not been the focus of previous research.
Results suggest that advanced-level learners form their own "images" of the meaning of words, and that collocations that fit within these images are more easily acquired. It was also revealed that advanced-level learners use "whether or not they have seen or heard the expression before" as a major clue in judging the use of collocations.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
次の点において学術的意義があると言える。①先行研究では焦点が当てられていなかった「多義語が持つプロトタイプ的語義や派生的語義で形成されるコロケーションをどのように習得していくか」について解明した点。②上級レベルの学習者は日本語のコロケーションの使用可否を判断する際「当該表現を見聞きしたことがあるかどうか」を大きな手掛かりとしていることを明らかにした点。これは先行研究では実証的に検証されていなかった点である。
本研究の結果を活用・援用することで、学習者が効果的に学習を進めていくことができる日本語教授法や語彙学習教材を作成することができると考えられる。この点において社会的意義があると考える。
