Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では，分子性孔あきグラフェンを集積して細孔性材料を構築し，高性能リチウムイオン電池負極材料を開発する．大環状芳香族炭化水素分子の合成法をもとに合目的分子設計を施した分子合成を行い，集積様式の制御によって，分子細孔が整然と並んで構築された1次元ナノチャンネル構造を持つ結晶性固体を得る．分子性材料ならではの精密な構造に関わる知見を得る一方で，負極材料としての電池性能評価を行う．「構造」と「性能」，さらに「電極の作用機序」に関する相関を明瞭に理解することで，分子設計指針にフィードバックし，高速かつ安定に充放電し，高容量を示す負極材料の開発を達成する．

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、分子性孔あきグラフェンを集積して細孔性材料を構築し、高性能リチウムイオン電池負極材料を開発することをめざしている。研究代表者の所属 していた研究室では、独自に開発した大環状芳香族炭化水素分子の合成法をもとに、合目的分子設計を施した分子合成を行い、集積様式の制御によって分子細孔 が整然と並んで構築された1次元ナノチャンネル構造を持つ結晶性固体を得ている。本研究では、この手法を展開し、1次元ナノチャンネル構造を持つ結晶性固体 の調製とその機能開発を進めてきている。
本年度、大環状芳香族分子の合成と機能解明をすすめる海外の研究グループとも共同して、多様な構造の大環状芳香族分子が作り出す固相結晶状態での分子充填構造の解明を進め、高機能な分子構造の探索を推進してきた。本検討においては、X線回折による固相充填構造の解明が鍵であり、実験室に設置されたX線回折系に加えて、放射光X線源 の利用も含めて回折実験の検討を行った。特に、ここ最近進展がめざましい構造解析の手法として、放射光X線を用いたマルチ測定と電子線回折による構造解析に関して大きな進展があった。これまでにこれらの手法は基礎研究として展開されてきていたが、急速に利用可能な技術として身近なものになってきた。本研究課題においても、困難な構造解析において、予備的検討として、これらの新手法が有力であることを確認できてきている。今後、これらの新手法を併用しながら、構造と物性・機能との相関解明をめざして研究を推進していく。

Reason

当初、予期していなかった展開として、固相結晶状態における分子の充填構造を解明する実験手法として、近年、進展が目覚ましい高輝度放射光X線源を用いたマルチ測定と、電子線回折実験が身近に利用できるようになってきた。この新たな研究環境の展開によって、従来法では回折実験が不可能であった微結晶を用いても回折実験による高精度な分子構造解明、分子充填構造の解明が行えるようになってきた。これらの手法も併用することで、本研究をより加速できると考えられるので、積極的に利用していく。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

分子性孔あきグラフェン分子の集積構造の構築とその機能について総括するために、研究をとりまとめる。充填構造とその構造に由来する機能解明を行い、材料開発としての研究を完成させる。研究開始当初には想定していなかったが、研究を進めてきた数年のうちに測定装置の高度化が進んできているため、最先端の測定手法によって明らかにできる適用範囲が広がってきている。これらの最新の手法も併用して研究目的を達成する。
