Outline of Research at the Start

既存技術ではリサイクル困難なプラスチック/木質バイオマス混合廃棄物を、既存のガス・石油精製および化学原料設備に供給可能なガスおよびオイルに転換する共熱分解プロセスを確立する。申請者はこれまで、プラとバイオマスを共に熱分解(共熱分解)すると、プラとバイオマスの熱分解生成物同士が相互作用する現象を見出してきた。本研究は、3つのシナジー効果:①チャー抑制、②ガス化促進、③液化促進を「狙って」最大化する共熱分解制御法を確立するため、生成物収率およびシナジー効果に及ぼすプラ・バイオマス混合法および熱分解方法(熱分解ガス接触方法、温度、反応時間等)の影響を定量的にかつ化学反応レベルで明らかにする。

Outline of Final Research Achievements

This project investigated pyrolytic synergistic interactions during co-pyrolysis of biomass and plastic. We achieved enhanced gasification and liquefaction and inhibited char formation by controlling pyrolytic synergistic interactions.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

混合するプラスチック種、バイオマス種、混合比、熱分解方法をコントロールすることによって、ガス化および液化の促進、チャーを抑制するシナジー効果を発現できることが明らかにした。熱分解法そのものは一般的な手法であり、廃プラスチックやバイオマスを化学原料に転換するために適用されることは珍しくないが、共熱分解における相互作用の制御を目的とした本研究のアプローチは新しい。本研究のアイデアをより発展させることで、プラスチックやバイオマスから、より効果的に化学原料を回収する事が可能になると期待しており、資源循環やカーボンニュートラルの実現に貢献する。
