第一次フォンテーヌブロー派に対する北方絵画の影響に焦点を当て、その受容の在り方や第一次フォンテーヌブロー派の形成に果たした役割を具体的に検証する。4つの観点―１）フォンテーヌブローの版画の分析、2）パリで活躍した北方画家たちの調査・研究、３）ジャン・クーザンに対する北方絵画の影響の考察、4）フォンテーヌブロー派の半身肖像画の成立への北方絵画の関与―から、第一次フォンテーヌブロー派の成立に北方絵画が及ぼした影響を具体的に浮彫にする。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Regarding my resaerch on the influence of Netherlandish painting on the Fontainebleau school, I put forth 3 viewpoints on the following: 1)the influence of Netherlandish art on the birth of portrait style of the School of Fontainebleau, 2)the study of Netherlandish painters and their works in Paris, 3)the relationship between the ealier activities of Jean Cousin and Netherlandish painters in Paris.
It became clear that not only Italian paintings but also Netherlandish paintings had an influence on the creation of the school of Fontainebleau. In my final year ot research, I published a report on the influence of Netherlandish paintings on the Fontainebleau school.

フォンテーヌブロー派は「イタリアとフランドルの美術の坩堝」と形容されるものの、イタリアの関与については多くの研究がなされているにもかかわらず、北方の果たした役割は具体性を欠き、不明な点が多い。本研究は、第一次フォンテーヌブロー派における北方絵画の影響に焦点を当て、その受容の在り方や第一次フォンテーヌブロー派の形成に果たした役割を具体的に検証するものである。また、北方絵画とイタリア絵画が融合され、フランス独自の芸術が生成されていった過程が多様な局面から浮かび上がってきた。
