| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究は二十世紀中国の中国画家の画論や題画跋などの言説を主たる対象として、二十世紀の百年間に、中国画創作をめぐり伝統的中国文人画にかかる継承と超越がどのように主張されてきたのかを、文学的な立場から具体的に究明しようとするものである。
第一に、伝統的文人画をいかに継承していくかという点、次ぎに、自身の感受を中心に据えるいわゆる写意の立場を取るのかそれとも外界を注視するいわゆる写実的な立場を取るのかという点、この二つの観点から彼らの言説を評価することができると考える。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In my literaly study, evaluate the first half of 20th century major Chinese painter's remarks of traditional heritage and originality,consiered the changing concept of art at this period.This evaluation made public in my paper “Twisted Art :On art criticism durling the first national fine art exhibition 1929 before and after”.From the point in this paper,we could appreciate Chinese painter's remarks at this period.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
美術という語が日本国内で創出された後、二十世紀前半期に中国で普及していった推移を、初めて明らかにできた。また、社会に普及していく美術概念を、同時代の中国人画家がいかに受け止めたかを、彼らの論説を通じて具体的に解明した。二十世紀前半期中国の水墨画家や油彩画家は、現代日本では必ずしも馴染みがないが、彼らの知的営みの一端を、現代日本社会に分かりやすく紹介することができるようになったところにも、本研究の意義がある。
