| Outline of Research at the Start |
英語における語強勢配置理論 (Yamada 2010) をプログラムとしてコンピュータに実装し、実際に起動させることにより、理論の実効性につき検証を行うとともに、必要に応じて理論に修正を施し、その完成を目指す。この強勢配置理論がコンピュータプログラムとして起動し、それにより適格な結果を得ることができれば、言語理論としての適格性を証明できる。もし起動しなければ、それを基にしてさらに内容に修正を加え、より精緻な理論を完成させることを目指す。上記のことを、当該研究者間の直接的な議論や連携によってのみならず、ネットワークで繋いだサーバを仲介にして、サーバ上でプログラムを走らせることによって行う。

| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
本研究は、英語の語強勢配置の仕組みを説明する語強勢理論(Yamada 2010)をプログラムとしてコンピュータに実装し、実際に稼働させることにより、理論の検証を行うとともに、必要に応じて理論に修正を施し、より簡潔で精緻な理論の完成を目指すものである。本年度は、昨年度の研究に加えて、副次強勢規則のプログラムをより精緻にすることに努め、研究成果出版に向けて努力した。また、副次強勢規則に加えて、主強勢規則のプログラム化に向けて予備的な研究も行った。その結果、下記の研究成果を得た。

Reason
本年度の研究実績の概要に記したように、本研究に関連する研究成果を作成し、各関連各所に提出し、出版された。2024年2月に、北京大学元教授で現北京工商大学教授の耿直（GENG Zhi）氏を招聘し、研究会、講演会を開催した。

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
今後は、本プログラムに実装する位置関数の数を増やし、それぞれの位置関数の重要度について考察する。また、副次強勢のみではなく、主強勢規則を予測できる主強勢規則を、位置関数理論の中で展開し、それらをプログラム化して、英語における語強勢を総合的に取り扱う位置関数理論を構築する。
