| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究では、二種類の消費財が存在する二部門成長モデルに、非相似拡大的選好を導入することで、所得格差の存在や拡大が経済の成長経路や長期的均衡に及ぼす影響に関して、定性的な分析を行うとともに、課税や所得移転などの経済政策の効果を定量的に評価することを目的とする。本研究には、異時点間の消費の代替弾力性が一定で非相似拡大的な効用関数の特定と、消費財と消費可能な資本財という分割を行った際における各財の所得弾力性を現実のデータから導き出すこと、および大域的な均衡経路が示し得る複雑な挙動の解析も含まれる。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In a theoretical model in which indeterminacy occurs, with non-homothetic preferences, I have shown that indeterminacy occurs under more moderate conditions by removing the production-side conditions that had been placed on it.
In a dynamic trade model with varying subjective discount rates,I have derived the conditions for the possibility of a developing country catching up with a developed country, by assuming that the discount rate depends on the income level of its trading partners in addition to its own income level.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
現実のデータと整合的な非相似拡大的選好、あるいは一定でない主観的割引率を理論モデルに導入することで、より現実に即したモデルを構築して理論分析を行った。そして、経済の均衡経路の安定性に関する条件、あるいは、国際貿易によって発展途上国が先進国にキャッチアップするための条件について、これまで示されていない結果を導出し、各財の所得弾力性の相違といった需要サイドに関わる条件を明らかにした。
