| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究は、教師・保育者が実践から絶えまなく学び続けるために、教育・保育実践をリフレクションすることの意義と効果について検証する。リフレクションの技法を用いることで、日々の実践を振り返り、そこに内在する教師自身の保育観、子ども観を根本的に問い直すことが期待できる。本研究の特徴として次の2点があげられる。1点目は、非言語的側面に着目したリフレクションの方法を具体的に検討していくことである。2点目は、実践フィールドにおいてリフレクションの効果を定性的・定量的手法を用いて検証し、その深化のプロセスを明らかにしていくことで、教師が実践知を身につけるための継続的な学びを保証するための手立てを明らかにする。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study allowed us to theoretically and empirically clarify how reflection on educational and childcare practices improves teachers' professionalism, including their pedagogical tact. On the theoretical side, he published a monograph, Van Manen's Pedagogy (Nakanishiya Press, 2022).
Furthermore, by referring to Merleau-Ponty's phenomenological theory of the body, Antonio Damasio's brain science, and discussions on aesthetics, We revealed that reflection promotes awareness of one's own feelings in the regulation of actions.Next, through participant observation, interviews, and questionnaires in daycare centers and elementary schools, we empirically verified that practicing reflection leads to the professional development of teachers.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
近年、教育学研究や実践においてリフレクションという営みについて数多く語られるようになってきているが、リフレクションがどのような行為を指すのか、リフレクションによって何が明らかになるのか、どのような教師の専門性の向上が可能なのかを理論的かつ実証的に精査した研究は管見の限りほとんど見られない。本研究はこの点について検討と検証を重ねたという点において、学術的な意義があると考える。
さらに、教師や保育者が実際にリフレクションを行う際の手法や注意点についても実証的に明らかにすることができた。これは、我が国および海外の教育実践者のリフレクションのあり方に広く影響を与え得るものであると言える。
