| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究の目的は，アクティブラーニングの一つの形態である協調学習 (教え合い) を対象として，学習者の非言語動作 (視線や顔の動き) と協調性の関係を明確にすることである．具体的な研究目的は，(i) 非言語動作の検出手法を構築すること，(ii) 非言語動作に対する時系列モデルを構築すること，(iii) 「時系列モデルにおけるパラメータ」と「アンケートに基づいた協調性」の関係を解明するである．得られた研究成果は，「協調学習」の自動的な評価に応用可能である．

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
For face-to-face collaborative learning, we constructed methods for extracting the relationship between nonverbal behaviors of learners and cooperation. Specifically, we constructed (i) methods for detecting non-verbal motion using a glasses-type device and/or image processing, and (ii) a time-series model for expressing the interaction between behaviors of learners. Furthermore, we constructed a method to clarify the relationship between the parameters in the time series model and the cooperation between the learners, and confirmed their effectiveness by experiments.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
協調学習の目的は，授業に対する学習者の理解を深めつつ，グループとしての協調性を高めることである．しかしながら，教員が即時にかつ定量的に多数のグループの協調性を把握することは困難である．本課題では，(i) 非言語動作の検出手法の構築，(ii) 非言語動作に対する時系列モデルの構築，(iii) 時系列モデルにおけるパラメータと協調性の関係を抽出するための手法の構築などの成果を得ており，これら研究成果は協調学習の自動的な評価に応用可能である.
