Outline of Research at the Start

超弦理論の発展においてゲージ重力対応という概念が発見され、その概念に基づく理解では重力理論における種々のブラックホール解がゲージ理論の異なる相について対応する記述を与える。とりわけその重力理論では場の効果を取り入れることで拡張され多様な性質を持つようになったブラックホールが現れる。本研究では、この方向性において新しい種類のブラックホール解を構成し応用することで、重力理論の見地からゲージ理論における新しい相や状態を探索しその相構造を調べる。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

前年度のAdS時空で荷電スカラー場を導入したhairyブラックホール解とその相転移についての研究に関連して、AdS時空のhairyブラックホールの熱力学的性質と安定性に関する研究をおこない、成果を公表した。熱力学では熱力学ポテンシャルの変数への依存性が熱力学的安定性と関係することが広く知られているが、ブラックホールが熱力学的性質を持つことを鑑みると、ある系の基底状態を占める重力解は熱力学的安定性を示すのが最もである。AdS時空で荷電スカラー場を導入したアインシュタイン重力理論では、荷電ブラックホール解の他に、スカラー場がゼロでない配位を持つブラックホールであるhairyブラックホール解、および事象の地平面を持たないがスカラー場が非自明であるボソン星の解があることが知られている。今年度の研究では全電荷を一定に固定したアンサンブルでこれらの解の比較をおこない、相構造を調べた。懸念である熱力学安定性は各々の解そのものが破る場合はあるが、それらのエネルギーを比較して基底状態を同定した場合、基底状態は熱力学的に安定なものが実現していて、系として真っ当であることがわかった。それに加えて、近年量子重力理論へのアプローチで盛んに研究されている「弱い重力予想」に関連する性質などが本研究での系にも見られるなどの発見もあった。
また、AdS時空に置かれた古典弦と弦理論の可積分性に関する研究もおこない、成果が学術誌に出版された。AdS時空中の閉じた古典弦の運動は可積分であることが知られているが、弦に境界がある開弦の場合は可積分性が境界条件に依存する。本研究では、可積分性を保つ境界条件の分類をおこない、可積分ではなく厳密解を書き下すのが難しい境界条件下では数値計算での弦の時間発展を議論し、可積分性の破れと弦の振動モードにおこる乱流現象との関連性を議論した。

Reason

本年度は、前年度に進めた研究から発展するテーマでの新規研究をおこない、新たな知見を得ることができた。そのテーマでは本年度の結果を受けてさらなる課題が湧き出しており、今後はそれらに取り組むことで、ゲージ重力対応における新しいブラックホール解の構成やそこから探る相構造の発見が進められると期待される。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

本年度の研究で調べたシステムにおけるhairyブラックホール解は、そのシステムに含まれない他の効果も加味することでより芳醇な重力解へのアプローチが期待され、その方向性での研究を推し進めることを考えている。また、本年度の成果を受けて、申請者以外の数多くの先行研究などにおいて基本的に扱いが難しいためにこれまで捨て置かれていた極限ブラックホールが興味深い課題であり、解を具体的に構成して調べられるべきであるという理解に至ったので、それに取り組みたいと考えている。
