Outline of Research at the Start

大型電波干渉計アルマなどによる、惑星形成の母胎である原始惑星系円盤の観測の進展、および太陽系内天体探査による太陽系内物質の理解の進歩を背景に、本研究では、研究代表者らのこれまでの研究を発展させ、ガス散逸期における円盤中での有機分子生成モデルの構築と、アルマおよび「はやぶさ2」の観測との比較によるモデルの検証により、原始惑星系円盤から太陽系に至る物理的・化学的進化過程を明らかにし、太陽系内物質の起源を解明する。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

(1)TW Hyaまわりの原始惑星系円盤からの分子輝線のALMA観測データを用いてCNの炭素同位体比を測定し、ISMと同程度の値であることを明らかにした。この炭素同位体比はCOの値より高く、HCNの値に近い値であり、炭素同位体比の二極化を支持する重要な結果である。一方で、円盤の炭素同位体比を解釈するには、時間進化や鉛直方向の分布も考慮する必要があることを示唆した。一方、アウトバースト天体であるV883 Ori円盤の複雑な有機分子のALMA観測に基づき、その炭素同位体比はTW Hya円盤のCOと同様、低い値であることを示した。
(2)原始惑星系円盤の様々な分子の炭素同位体比進化モデルを構築し、気相・固相全体の炭素/酸素元素組成比が1より大きい場合に、観測されたCOの低い炭素同位体比が再現されることを示した。これは気相におけるCOとC+の間の炭素同位体反応に基づいており、C+から生成されるHCNなどの分子は高い炭素同位体比を持ち、かつ、大部分が氷に取り込まれた。これは、気相と固相の間での炭素同位体比の違いを示唆する重要な結果である。
(3)当該分野で最も大きな国際会議であるProtostars & Planets VIIで、同位体比の観点で惑星形成領域から太陽系天体へのリンクを議論するレビュー論文を執筆、講演を行った。また、鉱物学や地球科学系の雑誌であるElementsに、惑星形成領域と太陽系天体の有機分子に関するレビュー論文を執筆した。
(4)隕石中の不溶性有機物(IOM)の起源に関して、Cody らの仮説を再検証するため、ホルムアルデヒドポリマーの化学分解を行い、分解生成物の組成式を分子レベルで同定した。ホルムアルデヒドポリマーとIOMの構造とでは、エーテル結合した脂肪族炭素の組成が異なることが判明した。

Reason

原始惑星系円盤の分子輝線のALMA観測データを用いてCNの炭素同位体比の空間分布を測定する一方で、化学反応ネットワーク計算に基づき、原始惑星系円盤の炭素同位体比の観測結果を解釈し、また、複雑な有機分子の炭素同位体比の進化を明らかにした。さらに、昨年度プロポーザルが採択された「はやぶさ2」プロジェクトの小惑星リュウグウ帰還試料の分析を進めている。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

はやぶさ2の小惑星リュウグウ帰還試料の分析を継続する一方で、複雑な有機分子の炭素同位体比の化学反応ネットワーク計算を進め、分析結果の解釈に役立てる。同時に、ALMAによる同位体比観測も進める。これらの結果を合わせ、原始惑星系円盤から微惑星への物質進化を探る。
