Outline of Research at the Start

タワーの風下側にロータを配したダウンウィンド風車は,低コスト化,大型化による風力発電の普及拡大に有効なコンセプトとして期待されているが,ロータ~タワー間の空力干渉(RTI)が大きな技術課題である.風車の解析・設計には,一般に解析負荷の低い翼素運動量(BEM)理論が使用されるが,従来のBEMではRTIが適切に考慮されていない.本研究では,BEMを揚力線理論やポテンシャル法と統合し,RTIを考慮した拡張BEM理論を構築し,空力弾性解析ソフトに実装し, RTIを考慮したダウンウィンド風車の設計指針を明らかにする.さらに,本研究成果は,推奨方法として国際機関に提案し,世界的な普及・定着を図る.

Outline of Final Research Achievements

Design and analysis models and methods were developed in this research to extend the blade-element and momentum (BEM) theory, which is a conventional design and analysis method for wind turbines. 1) blade dynamic load based on the dynamic stall model of the thin airfoil theory, with the tower wake model. 2) aeroelastic coupled analysis code which is applicable for multi-rotor systems. 3) definition of the diffuser total efficiency and diffuser optimization method. They are expected to contribute for enlargement and cost reduction of wind turbines in the future.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

データ生産性が高く,風車の設計・解析に必要な構造変形や制御との併用に適している翼素・運動量理論に,運動量理論,揚力線理論,薄翼理論などを組み合わせることにより,高フィデリティの解析を再現する従来にないモデルを開発した点で学術的に重要な成果である.
また,本成果は国際エネルギー機関IEA Windに推奨方法として提案しており,将来の超大型の浮体式洋上風車の安全性・経済性の向上に寄与することが期待できる点で,社会的な意味も大きい.
