Outline of Research at the Start

超伝導素子のNb/AlOx/Nb構造のジョセフソン接 合の接合面に平行に,二方向から外部磁界 (Hx,Hy)を印加して,ジョセフソン超伝導電流 の変調を行い,超伝導電流の二次元磁界変調特 性を測定してきた。本研究では,Nb/AlOx/Nb接合を2個左右並列に接続した超伝導量子干渉計(SQUID)のジョセフソン超伝導電流 Icの磁界変調Ic-(Hx,Hy)特性を詳しく調べることを目的とする。特に、超伝導量子干渉計に磁束が捕獲されたときの磁界変調特性の変化を調べる。

Outline of Final Research Achievements

We have made superconducting quantum interference devices(SQUIDs). Modulation characteristics of Josephson current through vertical type SQUID by scanning 2-D external magnetic field has been studied. By this new method we have successfully obtained the hologram for SQUID, where hologram has detailed magnetic information of two junctions of SQUID.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

「超伝導電子波のホログラムは可能か?」をテーマに超伝導量子干渉計で超伝導電子波のホログラムを観測した。この超伝導量子干渉計の酸化膜バリアと平行に加える外部磁界を2次元(Hx,Hyで走査すると超伝導量子干渉計を流れる超伝導電流IcのIc-(Hx,Hy)磁界特性上に縞模様ホログラムが現れる。「超伝導電子波のホログラム」が得られることを実験的に検証した意義は大きい。特にIc-(Hx,Hy) 磁界変調特性が地図の等高線図的な詳しい情報を持ち、両方の接合についての磁気的知見が得られるところが独創的である。
