Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では，超高齢社会を迎え深刻な問題となっている根面う蝕の抑制・制御を最終目標とし，そのために必要な根面う蝕の病態を反映した実際のヒト口腔内サンプルを用いた根面う蝕 ex vivo バイオフィルムモデルを構築することを目的とする。そこでは，まず健常者と根面う蝕発症者の口腔内の違いについて調査し，それをもとに根面う蝕を再現する ex vivo バイオフィルムモデルを構築する。さらに，確立したモデルを用いて抗バイオフィルム効果が期待される材料を評価し，根面う蝕の新規抑制法に展開するための研究基盤の確立を目指す。
