| Outline of Research at the Start |
近年、侵襲性の高い経口抗がん剤治療中の外来患者が増えており、安全な使用には患者自身の理解や自覚がより必要とされる現状がある。
本研究では、患者側に焦点をあてた患者－医療者間の情報共有におけるコミュニケーションに着目し、①患者側の薬物療法や情報共有の必要性ついての理解や考え、医療者側への報告などの患者側の意識や実施状況の実態をあきらかにし、②どのような患者－医療者間コミュニケーションが情報共有促進のために効果的で必要であるのかということを明らかにする。また、患者―医療者双方に向けてのガイドライン・啓発資料（パンフレット、Webサイト等）を作成し、医療安全向上のための有用な情報の提供を目的とする。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study clarified what type of communication between patients and medical professionals is effective in promoting the sharing of information on side effects, etc.
A questionnaire survey was conducted on cancer patients aged 20 years or older who were receiving outpatient oral anticancer drug treatment. Approximately 70% had experienced side effects. When asked "what would make it easier to report" side effects to medical professionals, responses suggested the use of "email, apps, etc." to reduce the burden on medical professionals, reporting by answering a simple questionnaire, and the existence of an environment such as an "outpatient side effect clinic" would make it easier to share information without hesitation. In the future, it will be necessary to consider cases where side effects are more urgent from a safety perspective.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
近年高齢化に伴い、がん患者が増加しており、経口抗がん剤での薬物治療中の外来患者も増えている。最近は、侵襲性の高い抗がん剤使用における検査値の悪化の見落としや投与日数制限の確認エラーによる連続投与により患者が死亡するという事例も起こっている。
医療安全の観点からも、本研究で明らかにされた外来抗がん剤治療の患者の考えている副作用における報告やその希望・要望についての研究成果は、今後の患者-医療者間における情報共有を実施する上での有用な情報の一助となり得ることが考えられ、学術的意義や社会的意義につながると考えられる。
