Outline of Research at the Start

Outline of Final Research Achievements

In 2019, we were unable to secure research collaborators from families raising multiple births in the planned survey areas (southern and northern Akita Prefecture). From 2020 to 2022, due to the outbreak of COVID-19, we were unable to request research collaboration from research collaborators (professionals from medical institutions and health administrative agencies within the prefecture) as they were exhausted from dealing with COVID-19 countermeasures. The planned "Training Seminar on the Characteristics of Multiple Pregnancy and Raising Multiple Births" aimed at local child-rearing supporters also required a review of how it would be held, necessitating significant revisions to the research methods.
In 2023, the research was not carried out because it was discovered that the local government in the southern part of the prefecture, which was scheduled to cooperate in the research, had been implementing support initiatives for families raising multiple births since 2021.
