Outline of Research at the Start

この研究では、自転車ペダリング動作を評価するための指標を確立することを目的として、クランクとペダルの回転変動状態を正確に計測し、その変動成分を解析して自転車ペダリング動作中の筋活動状態を推定することで、自転車ペダリング動作スキルを計測可能なデバイスを構築するとともに評価指標について研究を行います。さらに、この新しいスキル指標を用いて高スキルペダリング技術の習得法についても検討し明らかにします。

Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, we aim to evaluate cycling pedaling actions by accurately measuring the rotation of the crank and the force vector generated by the pedaling motion, establishing index that capture the characteristics of the pedaling action, and exploring methods to acquire better pedaling techniques using these new index. We propose a new pedaling action index based on changes in pedaling efficiency values in response to variations in exercise load. This index reflects cycling pedaling skills more accurately than traditional pedaling efficiency index. Using the new index, we can classify cycling pedaling skills and suggest its potential application in training to achieve better pedaling techniques.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究では、自転車ペダリング動作を評価するために、ペダリング動作に起因するクランク回転やペダルの踏力ベクトルを正確に計測し、ペダリング動作の特徴を捉えた指標を確立することと、この新しい指標を用いてより良いペダリング技術の習得法について検討することを目的とした。運動負荷変化に対するペダリング効率値の変化を用いてペダリング動作の指標を新たに提案し、従来用いられていたペダリング効率値よりも、より自転車ペダリング動作スキルを反映した指標を定義できた。この指標を用いて自転車ペダリング動作スキルをカテゴリー分類でき、より良いペダリング技術を習得するためのトレーニングにつながる可能性を示すことができた。
