Outline of Research at the Start

Outline of Final Research Achievements

We investigated how predictive processing interacts with working memory mechanisms. We found that the filler-gap dependency elicited a sustained left anterior negativity in Japanese. Furthermore, the SLAN was significantly attenuated when a preceding context was provided to make a scrambled word order felicitous.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
