| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究の目的は、途上国における教育の普及が個々人や社会にもたらす中長期的な望ましい効果を明らかにすることである。
より具体的には、戦後の日本、及び、20世紀後半の東南アジアで施行された初等・中等教育普及のための制度改革に着目をし、個人が長く学校に通うと、
1) その個人の所得はどれほど向上するのか、
2) その個人の病気への罹患はどれほど減るのか、
という問いに対する答えを、これまで使われてこなかった個票データを用いることで初めて定量的に検証する。
加えて、現代や、20世紀の日本が経験した様々な制度変更や環境の変化が、人的資本の蓄積に与えた役割に関しても同時に考察を行う。

本研究の目的は、途上国や途上国期の日本で施行された教育政策に焦点を当て、個人に対する教育の普及が、その個人や社会にもたらす長期的な影響を探索することである。
本研究に関して、令和５年度は、下記の実績を上げた。
1.日本に関する研究の成果をワーキングペーパーとして公開した。

研究実績の概要の通り、日本に関する研究について、論文の草稿の作成が予定通りに進行している。

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
令和6年度は、日本に関する研究について学会における研究報告を行い、原稿の改訂を進める。
また、インドネシアに関する研究についても、新たに取得したデータを用いて研究をさらに発展させていく方針である。
